David Hwang is a product and furniture designer, telling stories through furniture and everyday objects, informed by curiosity, surroundings, and emotion.
His work spans site-specific design, independent practice, and large-scale production. At RIOS, he designed furniture and lighting within integrated interior and exterior environments, working alongside architects and interior designers.
In parallel, he maintains an independent studio practice creating original pieces that explore material, curiosity, and emotion. He is a member of Be Original Americas and currently at Pottery Barn in San FranciscoSan Francisco, where his commute looks like this.
